A LOOK INTO OUR MODERN MUSE CAMPAIGN WITH THE EDGY & COOL ALEXANDRA RICHARDS.
Alexandra, who grew up surrounded by music and artists, and went on to become a model, DJ, and world traveler, is no stranger to cool, artsy photoshoot backdrops. She looked right at home showing off our best-sellers throughout the day in our shoot location - a beautifully lit condo in Greenpoint, Brooklyn accented with modern art, a baby grand piano, and other Alexandra-approved elements (including an impressive record collection).
With natural makeup & loose waves, Alexandra’s first look complemented the effortless aesthetic we wanted to capture. We wanted Alexandra to look & feel confident and comfortable, so she worked with our in-house stylist, Jackie on each look. The first outfit included a plain blank tank and denim shortalls, styled with black slip-ons and a cozy, oversized gray cardigan. In-between shots, our newest muse swayed with the indie music playlist, before changing into look after look of Pea staples: our French Terry Jumpsuit, our Luxe Essential Leggings in black – which Alexandra promptly described as “buttery soft,” and of course, our #BEAMOTHER Tee.
The real magic happened downstairs, where, atop an amplifier, Alexandra looked in her element – posing in the Chaser Mom Life Tee and black skinnies from JBrand. Although, maybe not as in her element as she looked behind the DJ booth – cradling her bump in a simple t-shirt dress under our #BEAMOTHER tee, rocking the DJ headphones and clearly at home.
We ended the day with our interview series (which you can read on our Modern Muse page) about life as an expecting mother, her foray into DJing & modeling, and the most important thing she wants to pass on to her child. And a congratulations are in order - Alexandra gave birth to a baby girl, Arlowe, in late May.
